For over 25 years, Electrogas has been an Alberta-based safety supply company servicing several industrial, commercial, and Governmental sectors within Western Canada. Headquartered in Red Deer since opening, we have added three more branches (Sherwood Park, Calgary, and Abbotsford (opened in 2023) to better serve our customers. From the beginning to this very day, our main objective was to offer unparalleled customer service while providing one of the most diversified product portfolios in the industry. To achieve these goals, we are continuously improving our employee training and searching for the most innovative products that not only complement our existing and extensive portfolio but enhance the safety of our customers.

Our humble beginnings started out as a small BW Technologies distributer with only a few staff members. It didn’t take long for those employees to build a reputation as the leader in sales and service for our customers’ gas detection needs. Within a few years, Electrogas quickly became one of the largest distributors for BW Technologies by Honeywell in Canada and our expertise was sought out by many across Western Canada. BW soon rewarded our growing reputation by certifying Electrogas Monitors as the world’s first Master Service Centre in January 2010.

In 2010, another industry leader in safety equipment, Dräger Safety Canada, recognized our reputation and was eager to replicate our success with their products. Seeing a wonderful opportunity for both companies to increase market share, we began a full distributor partnership later that year. With the extensive safety portfolio that Dräger offers we began to expand our market into new areas such as fire departments and HAZMAT. Our clients have benefited from this partnership by having access to one of the most diverse product portfolios on the market. Industrial, Commercial, Fire Services, and Government and Municipal sectors can all find useful products amongst the Dräger family. With this, Electrogas has now become the largest distributor in Western Canada and the second largest Dräger distributor in Canada

Never resting, Electrogas has continued to diversify its portfolio by pairing with new and innovative manufacturers, such as Blackline Safety and MSA Safety. Blackline Safety offered a product and service unseen in the safety world. Their revolutionary approach to the Working Alone / Connected Worker platform has once again offered a unique safety option to our clientele. One year later in 2017, Electrogas partnered with MSA Safety, which drastically expanded our range of products into an integral part of the safety industry that we had been missing – Fall Protection Equipment.

In more recent years we have also added products from Air Systems International, RC Systems and Portagas. Electrogas truly has one of the most comprehensive portfolios of safety-related products and the expertise to support it! We most recently have been expanding our Fire Portfolio by including products such as SEEK Thermal Imaging Cameras and HyperSight vehicle-mounted thermal imaging cameras

As this diversification occurred, we remain committed to providing the same outstanding customer service and support that our name has been synonymous with. Programs of continuing education and training of our service and sales staff are forever being utilized to ensure we find the right product for your specific safety needs. In addition, the industry’s FIRST and ONLY customer loyalty program offers specific, service-based incentives to our dedicated customers.
