The Multi Gas Clip Pump Infrared follows in the long line of gas detectors by Gas Clip Technologies that have the longest battery life in the industry. Equipped with its internal sampling pump that can run 52 hours continuously without a charge.

The Secret to a Long Life is the use of a low-power photometric infrared technology to detect combustible gases (LEL) rather than age-old pellistor technology. The MGC Pump uses an IR source which conserves power and helps the battery last and last. The IR sensor also brings the benefit of not requiring calibration for 12 months. This is because IR is immune to pellistor sensor poisons such as silicone or H2S.

Note: The IR sensor can detect hydrocarbons. It cannot detect hydrogen or acetylene.
