Our service department is the heart and soul of Electrogas Monitors Ltd. We boast several technicians with a combined 40 years’ of experience in the industry. Utilizing these fully trained service personal, we can provide accurate and knowledgeable technical and service support for a wide range of gas detection products. Our technicians are fully trained and certified in the BW Technologies by Honeywell, Dräger Safety, Blackline Safety, MSA, RAE Systems and GasClip Technologies gas detection lines, with extensive experience and technical knowledge in most other product lines.
Being the experts in gas detection means we strive to always give the best possible service in a timely manner, as such, we strive to maintain a 4 to 5 day turnaround time. All of our serviced monitors are extensively tracked and recorded, enabling us to view the unit’s service history, warranty status, failure rates during each service. We can quickly compile cost analysis to ensure our customers are making the most cost efficient choices. During each time through our service department, each monitor is privy to preventative maintenance, including:
• Downloading internal memory of your detectors to search for instability, short battery life, past failures and alarms
• Assessing sensor date codes to determine age and expectant life of sensors and components
• Providing no charge quotations and assessments of your fleet

Additional Services
MSA Fall Protection Equipment Service
Fall protection equipment, including harnesses, lanyards, and self-retracting devices are designed to save lives. It must be inspected before each use and does require annual inspection and certification by a trained and competent person. Our MSA-certified technicians will provide a no-cost quotation to perform your service to CSA Z259 requirements.
Visual Inspection
- Inspect all webbing (straps) and stitching for cuts, fraying, pulled or broken threads, abrasion, excessive wear, altered or missing straps, burns, UV damage, and heat and chemical exposures.
- Inspect all parts for deformation, cracks, corrosion, deep pitting, burrs, sharp edges, cuts, nicks, exposure to excessive heat or chemicals, or other damage. Check for missing, loose, or improperly functioning parts.
- Inspect buckles.
- Secure-Fit Buckle (if present): Make sure both locking tabs engage fully and operate smoothly.
- Quick Connect Buckle (if present): Make sure both pawls are engaged and operate smoothly.
- RaceFlex (if present): Make sure both pawls are engaged and operate smoothly.
- Inspect all labels. Labels must be present and legible
Following our services, we provide all the required written documentation indicating make, model, serial number, inspection outcomes and date to support the legislative requirements for your fall protection program.
Air Pack (SCBA/SABA) Service
Electrogas takes great pride in its comprehensive SCBA repair, cleaning, and testing facility. Our services are designed to not only meet but surpass expectations, catering to various needs, including NFPA-compliant (fire) SCBAs and industrial applications. We have developed expertise in working with renowned brands such as Dräger and MSA Safety, allowing us to perform annual flow testing and handle most repairs in-house. Electrogas is renowned in the industry for its prompt turnaround time and exceptional quality. Our highly trained team is always ready to assist you in finding the optimal solution for your specific work requirements.
Visual Inspection
- Inspect the SCBA backplate, harness, hoses, LDV, mask, and regulators and bottle
- Looking for cracks, abrasions, cuts or breaks in hoses, backplate, and harness or any other external signs that will compromise the function of the SCBA
- Clean and disinfect the mask
- Clean and decontaminate the harness of any excess dirt or contaminates
Flow Testing Steps:
- Replaced high-pressure ball nose O-ring and LDV O-ring
- Open LDV, clean and lubricate the shutoff system
- Attach SCBA to Posi for testing
- Enter details regarding the SCBA into the test software
- Perform flow test and follow the step-by-step instruction ensuring that the apparatus meets requirements
JordAir Compressor Service
Did you know Electrogas now offers on-site installation and repairs for your Jordair compressors and offers on-site inspections and repairs for your MSA and Dräger SCBA?
Do you have a Jordair Compressor? Did you know Electrogas is fully certified to perform all manufacturer-recommended services? Offering all compressor services on-site with our Level 1 and Level 2 Technicians, we can perform the following but are not limited to:
- Standard 6-month service and air analysis
- Commissioning new compressors
- 1000 and 2000-hour overhauls.
Our trained and experienced technicians can also assist with connecting cascade systems and repairing existing cascade banks.
Additional Services
Fit Testing
To support our lines of respiratory equipment, Electrogas Monitors can offer on-site and in-house mask Fit Testing. The Port-a-Count fit testing system can provide you with a quantitative fit test value, certificate and wallet card.
Breathing Air
Our facilities are equipped with breathing air compressors, cascade systems and outside fill point to facilitate your Air Trailer and SCBA refilling requirements. Our equipment is regularly tested and maintained to ensure the highest quality breathing air possible.
End User Training
Our highly trained sales staff will come to your facility and present the necessary information to your employees regarding the use and maintenance of your gas detection equipment reducing down time and reducing maintenance costs.
